"Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence of Britain’s sovereigns since 1837 and today is the administrative headquarters of the Monarch. It has 775 rooms. These include 19 State rooms, 52 Royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms. In measurements, the building is 108 metres long across the front, 120 metres deep (including the central quadrangle) and 24 metres high.

The Palace is very much a working building and the centrepiece of Britain’s constitutional monarchy. It houses the offices of those who support the day-to-day activities and duties of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh and their immediate family. The Palace is also the venue for great Royal ceremonies, State Visits and Investitures, all of which are organised by the Royal Household.” ()

The detail of this scene is amazing. You can see Anna’s finger tips turning blue and Elsa’s snowflake forming on her palm. I love this movie so much… It has become an obsession.

I think some company is overdue, I’ve started talking to the pictures on the walls.

The thing about this is you don’t even need to analyze or make a commentary on what’s going on. You just know. And that’s the part that hurts so much more. One glance at it and it speaks for itself, what they’re doing and why they’re doing it. And it hurts.

I also realized that while Elsa was looking at her father, Anna had her eyes on an older and smiling lady on that painting. They were looking at a man and a woman. A man and a woman that are now absent from their lives. I wonder who Anna was thinking of when she sees that woman in that painting. Or any older, warm, and kind-faced woman she sees.
Mama and Papa.
